Our team completely transformed an Ivy-League graduate program website from a home-grown experience to an engaging presence that evoked the Penn brand while also ensuring key personas got the navigation and tools required. We transformed all aspects: design, branding, messaging, taglines, IA, and UX.
A graduate program at the University of Pennsylvania desired to engage a high-value alumni community to drive advocacy. We conducted the research on the best tools, designed & set up the community, and delivered on-boarding instructions.
From 2008-2011, the Democratic Party was in a political crisis, despite having control of the Executive Branch. We engaged party leaders and local Democratic groups to re-think their message strategy... from a brand & marketing perspective.
When IT start-up Vadyas approached us to develop content for their websites, we stepped back and saw a larger opportunity to serve Vadyas strategically: We defined what Vadyas meant to the CEO, and built a brand around the story behind picking Vadyas as a brand name. From there, we were able to successfully define competitive differentiators, and developing product marketing pages from there linked the products to the brand. Perfect!
Non-Profits are mission-based, and are aligned around action. Too often, they do not have the capacity nor the orientation to step back and consider their brand, messaging and communications strategy. We provide training and services to non-profits who are looking to further optimize their funding and investments by letting their brands work for them, and develop messages that grow their natural constituencies.
Jon Deutsch, Principal & Founder, has over a decade of digital communications strategy & leadership experience. He regularly puts this to use with clients large and small. In this case, a major TV retailer was looking to completely transform their hodgepodge internal communications environment into a streamlined, purpose-designed employee portal. CapD developed a cohesive strategy and plan for them by conducting multiple on-site "design workshops," involving employees from across the company.
Working with very basic information from a new management team of a new consulting venture, CapD didn't just design a brochure -- we looked for and developed competitive differentiators, developed a compelling brand lens from which to engage and communicate their value, and then executed on the brochure design and message. A great example of how CapD looks at every project as an opportunity to step back, consider the strategic elements, and execute based on thoughtful and valuable insights.
A small business owner (with a very limited budget) in the Adirondacks was frustrated with her existing website, and approached us for help. She had a information-based site -- one that didn't give visitors a real feel of what she could offer her clients. We saw an opportunity, and embarked on photography, layout and content re-design of her site. The result: A simple, low-cost, yet engaging website that frames the value... and engages visitors through beautiful photos of her property.
